It continues to be a great year for us at Isabel Lawrence Photographers. The item below is a press release issued by the Museum of Ventura County mentioning our exhibit, lecture and radio interviews and the item below that is a press release issued by WPPI. That photograph was taken at a beautiful estate in the Berkshires at Caolionn and Sam Waldman's wedding last September.

ISABEL GOMES and LAWRENCE GUND of Isabel Lawrence Photographers, two acclaimed contemporary photographers known for using 19th century techniques, will exhibit their work at the Museum of Ventura County from May 21 - July 6.

They will also give a presentation at the museum on Saturday, May 31 at 2:00 p.m. on the classic methods they employ, which include tintype and pinhole photography. Hear radio interviews with Isabel Gomes and Lawrence Gund on Thursday May 29 in conjunction with this event: KKZZ 1400 AM at 12:05 p.m. and KTVA 1520 AM at 4:35 p.m.

The Museum of Ventura County’s location during renovation is: 89 S. California Street, near the corner of California and Santa Clara in downtown Ventura. Free admission. Isabel Gomes Wins Accolade of Excellence in the 2008 Awards of Excellence 16x20 Print Competition.

Isabel Gomes of Isabel Lawrence Photgraphers, Sherman Oaks, CA, has received special honors in the WEDDING & PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHERS INTERNATIONAL (WPPI) 2008 Awards of Excellence 16x20 Print Competition.Designed to recognize outstanding photographers, the judging was held in Las Vegas, NV on March 15 and 16, 2008.

"'About to Meet'" received an Accolade of Excellence in the Bride and Groom Together category. Gomes competed against an international field of photographers to win such honors.

The Awards of Excellence 16x20 Print Competition awards are presented each year at the largest trade show, educational platform and convention in the United States for professional photographers. The 2008 competition included 2653 prints in 19 different categories submitted by photographers from all over the world.
