It’s Bethany and Tommy’s big day today and I’m not sure who’s more excited, us or them. Larry and I had so much fun photographing their engagement session a few weeks ago and we can’t wait to get our hands on them again! Larry and I just got back from visiting my parents in Massachusetts. It rained 7 out of the 10 days that we were there. I wish I could say I used the bad weather to catch up on reading some classical novels but I have to confess, a good deal of my time was spent playing Scramble with Friends. Hey, at least there were words involved! On one of the non-raining days (I wouldn’t exactly call it sunny), I took him on a tour of downtown Lowell. We walked by my old high school and poked around in some back alleys where the old mills loomed overhead. Sometimes it takes leaving a place to really appreciate how interesting and beautiful it is.

We were so thrilled to be asked to photograph Miles’ first birthday! It was a multigenerational affair with lots of young cousins and a great grandmother present to wish the birthday boy well. After some romping on the front lawn with Mom and Dad, Miles worked up an appetite for his adorable Elmo cake. We wish you all the best Miles and we’re looking forward to lots more photo shoots in the year to come!
