What could be sweeter than a stroll through the woods with the one you love? Having a camera there to capture all that sweetness.

Larry and I had such a great time photographing Kimberly and Jesse. As you can see, their love for each other is written all over their faces.

If you think being a photographer is all about traveling to exotic locations and shooting amazing people – well, in this case, you’d be exactly right!

For the past 8 years, Daisy and Matt have commemorated their anniversary with an Isabel Lawrence photo session. It seems like every year, our shoots have gotten more elaborate. Last year, they rented out Greystone Manor. I can’t tell you how wonderful it was to have that gorgeous place all to ourselves. The year before that, we began the day in wine country and ended it galloping across the beach on horseback in Summerland. Up until now, one of my favorite sessions had taken place in Santa Barbara where vintage clothing suited the old car Daisy had procured for the shoot.

This year however, is going to be hard to beat! Our location was the incredibly gorgeous Hana in Maui. Despite there being some rain, we were in a tropical rain forest after all, spirits were high and the shutter was clicking. When not kicking back on the beach, we were touring places like the Garden of Eden Arboretum and The Seven Sacred Pools. Some of my favorite images came from our shoot at sunrise on Hana Bay.

Daisy and Matt, words can’t express how grateful we are for this experience. Hanging out and making these images with you was so much fun! The only problem is, how are we ever going to top this?

Yes, we had a blast photographing Daisy and Matt in Maui and yes, there is lots more to come…so check back here tomorrow for lots of images of their anniversary session in Hana.

Even though Fall is right around the corner, it’s time to start planning that Spring wedding.

Why not use an element from your bridal couture as a running theme for your decor?

For this bride, it all started with a lace headpiece she found in a swap meet years before becoming engaged. She used the fabric throughout her wedding so creatively.

For example she used it to adorn a basket of parasols for guests to use during the ceremony. Lace was also draping sweetly from her bouquet of peonies and anemones.

I especially loved the way its delicacy contrasted with wicker and dark wood.

So remember, while you’re shopping for that fabulous gown and accessories, keep an eye out for interesting finishes and fabrics. The perfect theme might be right at your fingertips!

Welcome to the continuation of Alicia and Jason’s lovely wedding at the Bel Air Bay Club.

Even though storm clouds and a little rain made an appearance…

Spirits were high and everyone had a wonderful time.

A highlight of the day was when Vedder the dog, dragged Jason’s nephew down the aisle!

This is such a gorgeous place to be wed.

In addition to some touching moments, there were also lots of laughs during the ceremony.

Alicia makes it official by slipping a wedding band on Jason’s finger.

I love Jason’s expression in this photo. He looks like he just won the world’s biggest lottery!

While the bridal party and guests head off to the courtyard to enjoy cocktails and nibbles…

Alicia had her heart set on spending a little time at the beach on her wedding day.

Mary Litzsinger of V.P. Events, was determined to make it happen. She took time away from her duties to drive us all down there. Thanks again Mary!

I met Alicia a few years ago when she accompanied her best friend,Charmaine who happens to be one of our favorite clients, to our studio. Charmaine came to pick up her proofs from a recent sitting we had done for her and while she was looking through them, I couldn’t help but think what a stunning bride Alicia would be and how much fun it would be to photograph her. When she called us a few months ago inquiring about our services, I was over the moon! In addition to being drop dead gorgeous, I figured if she is friends with someone as lovely as Charmaine, she must be awesome too. Well, she is and so is her new groom Jason!

Alicia and Jason were married at the beautiful Bel Air Bay Club. Mary Litzsinger of V.P. Events, Inc. brought her usual panache to the event and made sure everything ran perfectly.

Can I just tell you how envious I am of Alicia’s hair? Behrad of Elegant Hair Salon made it positively gleam.

Not only is Jason funny, smart and handsome, he’s a veterinarian too! Sorry ladies, as you can see, he is most definitely off the market.

Alicia’s gown was so lovely. She looked amazing in it.

Vedder, Alicia and Jason’s “baby” was on hand for the festivities. He was charged with delivering the rings to the altar. As you can see, he was sporting some bling for the occasion too.

Can’t tell you which I’m more enamored with, these gorgeous Jimmi Choos, or this stunning suite of jewelry.

I’m always so delighted to see what images Larry makes with the guys. This is one of my favorites of the whole day.

I went positively gaga over the bride’s maids dresses. The color is not only flattering on everyone, it photographs sublimely too!
